Welcome back to Broke in Bristol – the blog that helps you save money, make money and live life to the full on a shoestring. Why don’t you make the most of the September sun today and take little ones on a trip to the farm where a day out promises to be even more exciting than usual!
Windmill Hill City Farm is home to the Stick Man trail – a colourful, fun-filled activity trail which features Stick Man and other characters. It’s aimed at encouraging children aged 3 to 7 to get outdoors and explore the natural world and find out how things grow and the farm in BS3 is the only place you can experience it.
You can download a trail map before you go and spend all day at the farm. Please do give a small donation if you can afford to do so.
Little Miss Diva and I love the farm (though she’s getting a bit old for it now). During Autumn and winter we spend a lot more time on indoor activities like going to the cinema and bowling which can get really expensive! Something that has made a huge difference to our budget over the last 12 months is our free Gourmet Card which means we get up to 50% off at cinemas, restaurants and days out. Email hi@brokeinbristol.co.uk if you want to know how you can get a free Gourmet Card and enjoy more family activities this winter.
