Who loves free food? I love a good freebie more than anything so imagine my excitement when I discovered that you can claim a free Burger King Whopper this morning between 6 and 11am!

Everyone is entitled to a free Whopper – just check the vouchers section in your Burger King app today only (Friday Dec 20th). There’s nothing wrong with enjoying the freebie yourself – but if you’re not a huge fan – why not give it to someone who might appreciate it? I would love it if you could take a selfie and share it on this Broke in Bristol – & beyond post as it may just encourage others to do the same.

Meanwhile, if you, or someone you know, works for the NHS you can claim two free Uber rides or meals this Christmas between December 23 and 27 and could be used to get to and from work.

Or, if the rides are not needed, NHS staff can claim two free meals at the end of their shift from Uber Eats instead. How it works:Step 1. NHS staff members can enter their NHS email address by visiting www.uber.com/nhs before Friday 20 December. Uber needs your NHS email to verify whether you qualify for this promotion, but it will only be used for the purposes of this offer.

Step 1. If you don’t already have the Uber or Uber Eats app, you can download it from the App Store or Play Store, otherwise, simply open the Uber app. Tap the menu in the top left corner of your screen and select ‘Payment’.

Step 2. You can then select ‘Add promo code’ towards the bottom of the menu and add each code you’ve been sent.

Step 3. That’s it! You’re good to go. You can now either enjoy 2 x £10 trips or 2 x £10 off your next Uber Eats order. Whichever offer you choose, your codes must be redeemed between 00:00am on 23 December and 11:59pm on 27 December.

“We all know someone who works tirelessly over Christmas to keep the NHS running and this is our way of saying thank you,” Uber’s UK boss Jamie Heywood said:. “For the third year, we’re offering NHS doctors, nurses and support staff a helping hand to get to and from work at Christmas time, when public transport is limited. This year, it’s fantastic to extend the offer to provide a free meal to help make those shifts a little easier.”
