How to get a free Greggs now it's re-opened

Good morning Bristol & beyond and welcome back to your city’s only money-saving blog. Many of you will have welcomed the partial reopening of fast food favourites like McDonalds and KFC over recent weeks but I wonder who else has been holding out for a Greggs sausage roll or cheese pasty?

Yesterday, the bakery chain opened 800 shops across the UK – five of them in Bristol in the city centre at Horsefair, Broadmead, Cabot Circus and also its Avonmeads branch.

But there’s no need to rush into town when you can stay at home and order online through Top Cashback and Just Eat and get your first order worth £15 for free! This offer is for new customers only and to get this deal simply:

– Sign up to Top Cashback

– Type Just Eat into the search bar

– Place your order at Greggs (or another restaurant)

– Wait up to two weeks for the money to be credited to your Top Cashback account

If you’re not a fan of Greggs, don’t worry there are hundreds of other restaurants to choose from. Anyone who knows me knows that I don’t like paying full price for anything, however I do like to support local businesses when I can.

So imagine my excitement when I discovered a couple of local, independently run businesses on Just Eat during lockdown. Not only that, but my favourite fish and chip shop Farrows is now listed – happy days! However – and this is IMPORTANT – ordering through Just Eat is more expensive than usual as there is generally a mark up on the food and drink. So the next time you order – order directly from the business if you can.

And although traditionally there have been lots of chains listed on Just Eat – other local independents like Spice Indian Takeaway and Sunshine Cafe have jumped on board and are seeing the benefits of offering a local delivery service too.

What has been your favourite freebie during lockdown? Please let the bargain-loving community know by leaving a comment – Broke in Bristol – & beyond is on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
