I absolutely love these half Christmas trees from Argos that are child and pet friendly, what about you? They’re not the cheapest on the market but at £30 for something you can use year after year, they’re not bad!
These six foot parasol trees start halfway up, so you can perfectly place your baubles out of reach from curious cats and kids and there’s plenty of room for piles of pressies underneath.
As well as being a much safer choice if you have toddlers or pets, it’s also a great option if you live in a small flat or tiny house. Apparently it’s also easy to build, you just slot the pieces together and pull the hinged branches down into place. When up and built, the experts at Argos advise that you give the branches a quick fluffing so they look thick and full.
If only a real fir tree will do then why not head on over to Ikea where you can effectively pick one up for just £9? You will have to spend £29 but they will give you a £20 voucher to use in store from January 13 to February 23. It’s the seventh year that the Swedish furniture retailer has run its Christmas tree offer – but this year it has gone up £4 as usually it’s £5. Still a bargain if you shop at Ikea though.
Or you could support a refugee this Christmas and buy a Refutree. These real fir trees are locally sourced near Bristol with proceeds going to Aid Box Community and prices vary depending on the size of the tree.
