Bank Tavern’s Sunday Roast has won awards

Before the first lockdown I tried to get a table at the Bank Tavern in Bristol after hearing that it’s Sunday Roasts are the best, not just in Bristol, but the whole of the UK, according to Observer Food Monthly.

I didn’t have much luck because, not only are they award-winning they’re also affordably priced at just £15, and at prices like that tables are booked three years in advance!

Now, thanks to Bristol Live, I’ve just found out that instead of a three year waiting list to dine in, you can order these delicious roasts two days in advance and have it delivered to your front door next Sunday.

It’s the perfect excuse for a lockdown treat if you ask me. Plus, you can justify the expenditure as you’re supporting a local business owner and we all know how much they need our support right now.

Main courses include roast topside of beef or pork belly and delivery is free if you live in BS1 to BS9 postcodes. Further afield, it’s £5 and all orders must be made by email (landlord@banktavern.com) by the latest of 5pm on Friday but the earlier the better.

Please include your name, full address, phone number, order and any delivery notes that will help them find you. And to wash it down they’ve got some amazing beers from Bristol Beer Factory

and some quailty cider from Proper Drop Cider.

The Bank Tavern’ is on Facebook and its roast is one of Bristol’s best kept secrets and won the award for Best Sunday Roast in the UK from Observer Food Monthly in 2019. More from Broke in Bristol (& beyond):
