With Coronavirus spreading fear and economic uncertainty in Bristol and beyond, I figured we could all do with some cheering up, right? And I don’t know about you but free stuff always puts a smile on my face! And it doesn’t get better than free alcohol…
Forget your woes and treat yourself to a free drink in Bristol and beyond this Friday afternoon – or at some point over the weekend. I’ve found five places where you can get a free alcoholic drink, purely in the name of research, hic.
Until tomorrow (Saturday Mar 14) you can claim a free drink at any one of 700 Great British Pubs – all you have to do is register with them – and they’ll send you a voucher entitling you to a free beer, cider, G&T or soft drink. It’s to celebrate the fact that it’s a leap year and there are loads of participating pubs in Bristol.
You can also get a free drink at Ember Inns, just download its app to check if there’s a pub near you and register for your free drink. Up for grabs is a pink gin & tonic, glass of red, white or rose wine, a pint of ale or a soft drink and the offer is ongoing but I believe you have to claim your drink within two weeks of registering.
Or sign up to Marston’s pubs newsletter and you’ll be sent a voucher for a free pint, house wine or soft drink at one of its 1000 venues across the UK – see the voucher for details of when this must be claimed by.
Some of you may remember that I previously mentioned Stonegate pubs is giving away free Guinness on Six Nations rugby days. You can claim one tomorrow (Sat Mar 14) from 12 ’til 2pm before Wales play Scotland but you’ll need to download the free We Love Sport app and register first (be quick!)
And until the end of the month, Pitcher & Piano is giving away free gin and all you have to do is sign up to its newsletter. There’s one in Bristol just by the harbour and a few others dotted around the country. Don’t forget to like Broke in Bristol – & beyond to never miss a local deal, discount or affordable day out.
