Good morning Bristol & beyond – it’s time for your Tuesday tips. And it’s not just any old Tuesday – it’s Pancake Tuesday! So let’s start with how you and your family can get your hands on free pancakes today. First up, Bella Italia is serving free pancakes to customers, all you have to do is say Big Bella Pancake Giveaway and you’ll be entitled to two free pancakes and a choice of chocolate or strawberry sauce when you dine in. This offer is on while stocks last so don’t leave it too late!
You probably can’t take the kids to this one, but you could take a friend to Rainbow Casino just off Millennium Square for free pancakes between 4 and 7pm on Shrove Tuesday. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a member or not – everyone is welcome to complementary pancakes and a selection of toppings. Or get all cosy down at the Cosy Club where you can treat yourself to buttermilk pancakes for £1.25 each, plus as many 50p or £1 toppings as you like.
Pancakes not your thing? You can fill your stomach with cheap tacos, pizza, burgers and drinks instead! You can get £1 tacos at any Wahaca every Tuesday and Thursday –Wahaca in Bristol is located at the top of Park St in the Clifton Triangle and it’s £1 for your first taco and £5.95 for any more. You can also get a pizza for just 1p when you buy another at Racks Bar and Kitchen located in the Clifton Hotel on St Paul’s Road. The offer is on all day every Tuesday and pizza prices start at just £8.50. I went there for my birthday last week – they have lunch deals for just £6 every day of the week and it’s also dog friendly.
But you don’t have to wait until Tuesday to treat yourself. I can personally recommend Southside’s burger and a drink deal on a Wednesday for £11 or their Thursday offer of a pizza and a drink for £11.
If you prefer the centre of town then did you know that The Crown in St Nicholas Market has a lunchtime deal every day of the week where you can pay a fiver and get a drink for just £1 extra. Or if you fancy a carb fix of burger and fries you can fill your boots at Three Brothers Burgers on Tuesday – or indeed any day of the week including weekends (check the website for times).
Frankie & Benny’s has deals on this February. On Tuesday, you can get a slice of Italian Hot Pizza with soft spicy hot sausage for a fiver. Add some extra heat to your week with a Prawn Diavolo only £5 on Wednesday or a Calabrian Hot Burger for only £5 on Thursday. I’m sure there are lots more deals going on in Bristol and I’m hoping to add to the list every week.
