23 Sept. Free. Screening on the Steps
Pack a cushion and possibly an umbrella and check out the free film screenings being shown on the Christmas Steps this Friday night from 8pm. Alfred Hitchcock Presents three titles penned by Roald Dahl: Man from the South, Dip in the Pool and The Landlady. Weber & Tring’s will have their bar and kitchen open from 7pm. Find out more.

Going to the theatre will usually set you back much more than a couple of quid, so you can’t really argue with new play High & Dry which will only set you back £2. It will be performed at the Acta Theatre in BS3 this Friday from 7:30pm and tells the story of residents who seek refuge in a deserted pub during torrential rain. Find out more.

The Fleece is hosting a Britpop night straight after its Antartic Monkeys gig and if you have a ticket for the gig you can get into the Britpop night for free. If not, it’ll set you back £4.40 in advance and a fiver on the door. Check it out if you like the sounds of Oasis and Blur. Find out more.
