Usually when you take the family to the fun fair it costs a small fortune! So when I spotted this Bristol bargain I got really excited! I’ll be taking Little Miss Diva to this as it’s only £5.99 per session and most rides are included in the cost of the wristband. You don’t need to pay to get into the adventure park either, as it’s a separate entrance and there are two daily sessions from 12pm ’til 3pm & 3pm to 6pm. This is a cash only event and free rides include the Ferris wheel, dodgems, crazy dragon roller coaster, circus funhouse, helter skelter, hall of mirrors, crazy bumper cars and more. 2. Tue Feb 19. Free. Singing Workshop. Creative Workspace. Bristol.
Do you want to be part of a fun, supportive group and sing your heart out on stage? This is your chance! Come and learn new songs from Soap Soup Theatre’s newest show, MathildaMathilda and perform at the opening of the show in Weston Museum on 12th and 13th April. These workshops for 11 to 16 year olds are free and transport to Weston-super-Mare for the performance is included.
3. Tue Feb 19. £5. Holiday Stay & Play. Children’s Scrapstore. Bristol.
Organisers have been saving a rainbow of sticky-back ready for this creative session. Cover their floor with giant designs or make a mini sticker artwork to take away – just be careful you don’t get stuck! Most suitable for ages 5 to 10 but all ages welcome. Adults stay for the duration. £5 or £4 each additional sibling. All bookings include one day membership to the Scrapstore Warehouse, where you can buy a basket of scrap for a donation of £5 (less if the basket isn’t full), more information here.
4. Weds Feb 20. £5. Join the circus for a day. Advance booking. Creative Workspace. Bristol.
This is a drop-off event for children aged 8+ who would like to spend the day learning a range of circus skills and who are brave enough to showcase what they’ve learnt to their family at the end of the day. Learn how by clicking here.
5. Weds Feb 20. Free, plus free lunch! Stories from Southmead – free storytelling & arts workshop. Bristol.
Workshops are being run by Wyldwood Arts which specialises in delivering unique, high quality, participatory arts projects and productions that unite communities and bring emotional wellbeing to those involved. 6. Thursday Feb 21. Free. Filton Free Fun Day. Bristol.
This is a real find – all activities are free at Filton Sports Centre this Thursday! That’s free swimming, free bouncy castle and free fitness sessions – take a look at the timetable for more information.
7. Thursday Feb 21. Half term Inflatable Fun. £6 (£2 for under 2’s.) Bristol.
Keep your energetic kids occupied this half term by bringing them along to the next inflatable fun event on Thursday February 21 at the Merchants Academy Sports Hall which will be jam packed with inflatable fun. Loads of fun to be had on the bouncy castles, scream slides and obstacle course. Make a day of it!
8. Friday Feb 22 to Sun 24. Windmill Hill & Victoria Park Window Wanderland. Bristol.
Last year over 70 residents took part and displayed wonderful windows. Organisers want this year to be bigger, better and brighter than ever, so please join them! This event is free and open to all. Your display can be as simple or as spectacular as you like – check out the photo gallery for inspiration.

During the February half-term holidays kids eat free at these Bristol venues: Las Iguanas, Loch Fyne, Bella Italia, Yo! Take the kids to watch Hey Duggee At The Cinema or Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck It Ralph at Vue Cinemas in Bristol. Odeon Kids is also showing films from £2.50 – buy your popcorn, sweets and drinks beforehand and the jobs a good un!
