Welcome back to Broke in Bristol the blog that helps you save money, make money and live life to the full on a shoestring. It’s Father’s Day this Sunday June 18 so here’s how you can treat the most important man in your life, without breaking the bank.

  1. Take dad to Weston Air Festival and Armed Forces Weekend on either Sat 17 or Sun 18 June between 10am and 6pm. This free event takes place on the seafront and promises aerobatic displays, fun fair rides and activities to please the whole family.

  2. This Father’s Day treat dad to a Mexican meal at Las Iguanas at the Harbourside or Cribbs Causeway and he’ll get a free bottle of Brahma but better still kids eat free too – so you can really save on your bill! This offer is valid on Sunday June 18, when kids bring a grown up. For every dad dining on Father’s day, Las Iguanas will also donate £1 to Orchid. For more details click here.

  3. Why don’t you treat dad to a few holes around the inPlay Golf Pebble Beach St Andrews or at the Wentworth Course – within walking distance of Bristol City Centre. Fathers play for free as long as at least one player is paid for, find out more here.

  4. At Hungry Horse pubs, dads can either eat free after 6pm or enjoy a free drink with their brunch. There are four Hungry Horse pubs in Bristol: the Brunel in Bedminster, Talbot Inn on the Bath Road, the Farmhouse in Yate and The Traveller’s Rest in Yate.

  5. As a penny-pinching mum, I always save big days out like Longleat ‘til they have a special offer on. The good news is dads go free to Longleat on either Saturday 17 or Sunday 18 with a full paying adult or child saving you £28.85. Click here for more details.

  6. Tuck into a roast at Toby Carvery this Sunday and every dad can enjoy a free pint of Stowford Press cider, a Heineken or a bottomless soft drink with a main meal. Don’t forget to download the voucher before you go – there’s a carvery in Bradley Stoke and Whitchurch.

  7. Dads get in free to the Wild Place Project this Father’s Day with a paying adult or child saving you £7.20. See here for more info.

  8. Prezzo at the Harbourside is giving dad two free beers with the purchase of a main dish from Thursday June 15 to Sunday 18 as is Chimichanga in Cabot Circus. You may need to book in advance.

  9. Dads and granddads can enter Avon Valley Adventure park for just a quid this Father’s Day saving at least £9 when accompanied by their child or children.

  10. If you’re planning on buying him a gift, why not check out Boom25 – a cashback site with a difference! New customers will receive a £15 Amazon gift card when they spend £30, or 50% off their money back if they spend less. Plus, every 25th customer gets their money back.
